tlb jaggery or sugar

tsp red chilli (optional)

Method
Add
dates and tamarind in ½ pint of boiling water, simmer until ing4redients are
tender and water has reduced by ½
Sieves
through the mixture, squeezing as much out of the tamarind as possible (should
be of a think eg. Cheese sauce consistency) – ad water if necessary
