Plain Puri's

Ingredients

(Make about 20 –25 Puris)

2 mugs chapatti flour

1 Tsp Oil

Hot Water (about ¼ Pint)

 

Method

Rub oil into water

Add water little by little whilst forming a soft dough

Knead well for a couple of minutes

Split into balls slightly smaller than golf balls

Roll using as much flour as required to make puri the size of approx 4”x 4”

Deep fry in hot oil for 10 seconds each side (they should rise – but don’t worry if they don’t)

Take out in a deep dish lined with Absorbent Kitchen Tissue to absorb the excess oil
