Aromatic Lamb Mince and Spaghetti  

Ingredients

500g Lean Minced Lamb

25g Butter

2 whole bay leaves

Large cinnamon stick

1tlb Sunflower Oil

1 medium onion finely chopped

1-2 cloves garlic crushed

100g Passata

1-2 portions Spaghetti

Parmesan grated to taste

 

Spice Mixture

Serves 1-2 Persons

 1tsp salt

˝ tsp paprika or cayenne pepper

1tsp gravy granules

˝- coriander powder (optional)

1tsp Chopped Rosemary & Thyme (Optional)

 

 Method

     Melt butter & Add bay Leaves & stick of cinnamon. Saute until butter comes to a froth.

     Add oil & heat for 30 Seconds or so enough for the oil mixture to warm up.

     Add chopped onions and sauté for 1 minute on high heat to brown the onions. Add the crushed Garlic

     Cover and simmer on low heat, until onions are tender stirring at least once

     Carefully take out Bay leaves & Cinnamon Stick

     Add mince and Brown on medium- high heat

     Add Mince spices as listed in ingredients, mix in well so all spices and meat are blended well together

     Add half glass water, cover and simmer for 5 mins, stirring occasionally.

     Start boiling Spaghetti as per individual instructions on packet

     Add Passata to the meat and more water if required. Simmer for another 5-10mins

     Drain spaghetti and place on a deep plate, top with mince and Grate Parmesan to taste
